I have found Languages of the World to be a great resource for learning about any and all languages found around the world.

An amazing statistic I found on this website was that 96% of the world's languages are only spoken by 4% of the population.

What is the 10/40 Window

The 10/40 Window is the rectangular area of North Africa, the Middle East and Asia between 10 degrees north and 40 degrees north latitude. The 10/40 Window is often called "The Resistant Belt" and includes the majority of the world's Muslims, Hindus, and Buddhists.

The 10/40 window contains the largest number of unreached people in the world simply because it contains the largest number of people in the world. Two thirds of the world's population lives in the 10/40 window (approx. 4.6 billion people)

Many groups state 97% of the world's least evangelized live in the 10/40. This number is very astonishing but one also needs to consider some of the facts. Many other countries that are not included in this number is counted as evangelized because they have a so-called Christian religion majority. Catholics, protestants, charismatic, Episcopalian, and even many evangelical churches that do not preach a true gospel would be counted as being evangelized.

We do know the largest need in the world is the 10/40 window simply because the majority of the world's population lives there, but we cannot forget about the other countries around the world that are religious but in all actually are just as lost.

Every Country Population

The CIA World Factbook is probably the best resource available to find the population of any country, providence, or territory in the world.

It is also good for general information about the countries. I am not guaranteeing that all the information is accurate but it will give you a good idea about the country you are studying.
